I have never tried to hide from content authors and business users that the languages are being mocked. The content authors and business users are well aware of (in your case) that English (Liberia) is from English (Lebanon). The reason why it is important for them to know, is that there are more Sitecore items that allows them to override the default Calendar (Gregorian, Lunar etc), Number Format, Currency Format and Date / Time format.
In the GalleryLanguagesForm, I would specify the language mapping, which in your case is “English (Liberia) : English (Lebanon)”.
