Vincent Lui awarded 2nd Sitecore Technology Most Valuable Professional for 2021
I am extremely humble to be awarded Sitecore Most Valuable Professional (MVP) in the Technology category for 2021. 2020 has been an extremely challenging year for many, with COVID-19 pandemic wrecking havoc across the world. Fortunately, it was a opportunity for the technology community to grow closer together. With meetup’s, user groups and conferences transitioning into virtual formats.
My highlights for 2020 were presenting at Global Virtual Sitecore Usergroup Conference, which was a bucket list moment. When I changed my job to CPA Australia, I had the opportunity to also start using the latest and greatest of Sitecore 10 JSS (with Sitecore Experience Accelerator installed), using Docker for local development setup. That has led to many opportunities to contribute to the main Sitecore Docker Github open source repo, and working closely with the Sitecore team and the community. I have learned a lot about using Docker with this fantastic opportunity. I was interviewed by Tamas Varga in Get To Know an MVP Podcast, which was a really fun experience.
My focus, as a Sitecore Technology MVP this year, is to continue sharing my knowledge / experiences with the community, both positive and negative with a no bullshit approach, via blog posts (I have quite a long list of outstanding blog posts), Sitecore Slack, Sitecore Stack Exchange, and other social platforms. Providing feedback, engaging in production discussions with various Product Managers / Technology Evangelists, and hopefully testing out preview releases, and participating in various MVP activities.
With the latest news on USD$1.2 Billion investment injection into Sitecore announced earlier this year, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to be involved in the upcoming exciting journey on what Sitecore has to offer.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank my ex-colleagues and clients that I have serviced at Isobar, current colleagues at CPA Australia, various Sitecore employees, my fellow Sitecore MVPs past and present, and the Sitecore community to be part of my MVP journey.
